How dare we be upset that our deer herd is being decimated. Who cares if they are all dead. Guys may have just bought a piece of land to hunt for a lot of money but hey, big deal. Just drive somewhere and don’t be upset about spending all that time and money.  ;)

First of all I never said you should not be upset but oooooing about it won’t fill tags I just offered advice that you should hunt where there are deer but you would rather vent on so at this point i  wish you all the best I have been here for 12 years I think my time is done I appreciate the friendships I have acquired here take care all of you

In all seriousness if I were the sole owner of our property the answer would be yes all i am saying is if you don’t make an effort to find another spot you can only blame yourself for empty freezers yes what’s happening sucks but don’t get mad at me for giving good advice that you refused to take just as last year go back and read all of this same thing
Ken, we are talking about entire county’s being affected….yes I understand what you are saying, and I will not sit back and complain if I don’t get a deer, but it’s not like you can just go to the next town over and kill a deer, for some it’s hours of travel. But my biggest complaint, as well as many others…. It’s the DEC downplay if the situation!!!! They don’t do a damm thing for conservation, and it’s really aggravating!!!!

DEC won't cut back tags. That's money out of coffers that are already empty. Very true DEC won't do anything, they haven't for years when it comes to hunting. Well anything that has been beneficial to hunters.

Greensider this isn’t a personal attack on you as DXT say it’s more of a ooooo on the part of the states lack of reality my good friend ran into one of the local biologists who comes to his butcher shop to age deer probably for the last ten years was totally clueless on the state of EHD in the same area he resides in that’s the problem I’ve personally found over thirty dead confirmed in areas I hunt locally not counting the smell of death on local roads I travel on and like I said in my last post I will travel wether it be some place in the Catskills or my place in the ADKS to hunt

very true ..... unlike the NY DEC who only increases the deer quota in affected areas and adding more seasons .... not a sign of an organization in touch with reality or protecting a resource ......
