Have not heard much about them this year but I put a lot in the freezer already and came across a very nice patch today

That is a nice patch!  I've been finding them in all the usual places.  See them all over the mountains on my trail runs too.  Harvest some and transplant some more.  Haven't had any luck with morels though, which is usually the case for me.

Yeah, Ive transplanted lots of ramps over the years and they always come back up the following year.  Been establishing beds on my property in various locations.  I haven't given uo on morels but I don't actively look for them.  Usually just keep my eyes peeled when I'm in the woods shed or turkey hunting.  Have not been able to figure them out.

The lower areas of our property have lots and lots of ramps.  My neighbor told me that he and his wife used to go down there and get them, and I told him to feel free to go collect whatever they wanted, but they haven't yet.  We have a friend that we brought down there and she collected a backet full of ramps and fiddleheads.
My GF loves to cook, but collecting wild plants isn't even on her radar, so we don't do anything with them ourselves.

You should make a dip like artichoke and leek instead of spinach sooooo good
