Snow has been deep enough by me that I haven't checked the trail cameras in a while, and need to get out and check them.  That said, I haven't seen any deer out in the usual spots in the fields in a few weeks either, snow must be too deep there.
We noticed that there is a bare spot forming out beside the house where the water softener dumps the regen water, and it's a matter of time before the deer find that, so I'm waiting.  Been seeing more and more deer by the roads in the last couple days, which is good.
Hopefully will get out and get those chips from the cameras soon too.

I've got bucks in the yard regularly and as of Friday none has dropped an antler. There was one there on Saturday Feb. 22 tearing up a yew with his rack for about 10 minutes. I call him Dr. Suess as he has 3 on one side and a messed up 2 on the other. There were 13 does in the yard at the same time!  Eventually the buck laid down in a snow free spot and the does browsed around him.

I saw Dr. Seuss today while picking up sticks in the yard. Amusingly, while I was picking up sticks facing up-hill 5 deer walked behind me. There was a yearling about 10 feet away from me and while the other 4 moved back the yearling held it's ground and even took a step towards me. I slowly moved down the hill to throw the sticks on the pile and the yearling stepped aside to let me do so. As I backed away it went over and started browsing the stuff I had just dropped.
