Monday's lone stripers. Fished the pm landed nine fish...8 were cats !

Frida nights striper just north of the Newburgh bridge

Saw lots of stripers spawning by Esopus lighthouse.
The females seemed to like those floating mats of water chestnuts. ( I think that's what they are).  All kinds of splashing and thrashing in them.

Capt Dave managed a 35" in between the catfish fest.

    Way to go Red & Capt. Dave. . . . .

 . . . . . I sprayed my herring livewell with my boat hull cleaner using my Roundup pressure sprayer, then power-washed it off. . . .
     . . . . it looks almost new!. . . . Man. . . . was it Gawwwd awful when I removed it from the creek! . . . I may use the well to keep green crabs in during blackfish season in the salt!
