Shed Hunting
« on: January 21, 2022, 09:54:05 PM »
Man the site has been dead.  Is anyone doing anything lol?
Ice fishing, shed hunting, snowmobile anything? Small game hunting ?
I was considering taking a walk this weekend and taking a peek for a few sheds
And maybe a pheasant hunt with my GSP…
Oh Yeah !

I don’t think I’ve ever seen before this late the amount of bucks still holding both sides as I have this year. I wonder why. Maybe because of the lack of deer overall?

I'm about ready to start cutting the apple trees giving them their bi-yearly haircut. 10 to 15 minutes each tree opening the canopy to sunlight(nothing grows well in the shade) and topping them down to 14-15'(growing apples where you can't reach them makes no sense).  The deer on Camera all still have their antlers I'm seeing.

Bucks holding antlers still, I just noticed a few new rubs, and a couple of apples that the animals tried carrying back to their beds, lol

Took a few trips, but managed to find the sheds of the buck I hunted this last year. What’s crazy, is I’ve found 4 sets in a row, with the racks being no further than ten feet from each other
