I have a camera on my gutpile as well, and I've had mostly crows picking at it, but also raccoons, and a couple hawks. Even have deer walking past, with some of them seemingly aware of the gut pile judging by how they react, but it doesn't seem to significantly alter their behavior. Funny watching the crows try to get in when the hawk is on the pile, they hop in backwards and when they're close enough, they turn, grab a piece, then hop away quickly before the hawk chases them.
Mine is in the woods, under tree cover, or I'm sure I'd have an eagle there too. They've picked bass out of the pond when someone hooks one deep and it doesn't survive. I feel bad about loosing the fish, but glad that it didn't go to waste.
