last year the smell of death was everywhere .... just sitting out in my yard I would catch a whiff ... lasted thru September .... I hope its not as bad as it was in Orange county last year ........ maybe this tropical depression will blow it out .....

This EHD is really taking deer here now in big numbers ..
Every stream or creek around here , has dead deer decaying ..
The more we look the more we see !!
This is not good ... my friend called dec today to report some more findings ,
And was told that ulster county is being hit hard ...

My friend was looking at a dead doe in a small stream , and not 50 yards away a nice buck jumps up that was laying in the same stream ....that deer was dying also ..

If you have streams / ponds by you , take a walk and see if you can see or smell any ..
What a shame , and unfortunately this won't stop until we get the first frost ..
That's what will kill off the no-see-um bugs , that are causing this EHD ..

The DEC urges you to call and report your findings ..

I don't get up at 4 AM to play catch and release .
