For live sawbellies I like the Okuma baitfeeders, in size 20 or 30. (2000-3000) The 40(4000) is too big. If you are a light tackle freak they now make baitfeeder reels in ice fishing sizes, the Ceymar or Avenger in the 1000, on a light 7' rod, with 6lb test, would be a blast for browns! As for rods IMO there is no need to buy anything special, I use my normal everyday 6 1/2' - 7' rods. If you are keeping the rods in rod holders, make sure the rods are at least the same length as your oars and keep the rods pointing straight out off the side of the boat. This will allow clearance for you to row without the the oar catching the line constantly.
