Piscifun Lunker Braid
« on: January 07, 2020, 05:57:02 PM »
A while back I asked the Hvs membership if anyone had experience using Piscifun Lunker braid. . .
. . . now that I have fished with it in Niantic for a season, I have found it to be inferior to Powerpro for the same pound test (30lb.)
I found the Piscifun to fray and break much sooner than the Powerpro . . . I LOST a couple of really nice Bllackfish due to the line breaking on the hook-up.
I switched to 30 lb. test Powerpro later in the season and had no issues, FYI all!

Tight lines!

Thanks for the heads up! I've used Power Pro, and more recently Daiwa J-Braid X8. Both are top notch but I like the Daiwa better. Fishing line is one thing I'll never buy cheap. I've heard bad reports on KastKing too. Maybe for the casual weekend fishermen it's fine, but serious guys I know, who fish a lot, gave it thumbs down.
