Cold day on the river.
« on: December 03, 2019, 07:21:16 PM »
Dont know why i committed to do a float trip down the Delaware today . Winds blew 25 mph all day today and felt like it was below zero at times. Frozen guides and line every cast.  Had to shovel the ramp to get boat and truck out but it was a winter wonder land and had the 6mile stretch to ourselves.  Got to love it did over 20 fish most were nice chunky rainbows.. I think ill relax and spend a good part of the day tomorrow in the deer woods.  ;D

That's some serious dedication. Glad it paid off with some nice fish.

Def got to get some kind of heater for the boat and a bigger truck to get it in and out of the water in these conditions.  :D

Love my Mr Heater for the box blind.  End up taking all outside layers off and boots for the sit 10 minutes into getting set up.  Heat rises taking my smell with it so the deer don't seem to care.  It may not work in an open boat but with no gas aboard it might work better than a hand warmer to take the edge off.  With gas on board it might work too well 8)
