I also still have my original indoor wood furnace that I used to heat my house with before the outdoor wood boiler ...if someone wants to heat their garage / shop and thinks they can use this  , I'll make you a real good deal ..!!  :-)

I was thinking of doing one to supplement my forced hot air system. Could you send me a pic ?

That's the set up I have, indoor wood furnace,  with duct work connected to my gas furnace.  It works awesome!

Just curious DXT, how much wood do you burn thru? An outdoor wood boiler seams appealing at first until I hear these other guys on here saying they blow thru 10-12cord or more a season.... when you think of the man hours to just chase and process that volume of wood I question it's savings if you figure in your time investment.

I may pick your brain Matt on setting one up and how it's integrated into the air handle thermostat to torn on house fan when at temp or do you just manually flip it on ?

All I had for years was a Vermont casting to heat my house.  98' in the main room and 55' in all of the others. Couldn't go anywhere in the winter without draining the water in the "house." The day I put in oil baseboard was the day I sold the wood stove.  Love a campfire but don't miss being in the wood business.  Carpenter ants, ashes, smoke, bark mess, chimney fire worrying, all the fun of putting up good wood-- been there done that.  Maybe with a outdoor boiler it may have worked but kind of glad those days are over.

I burn about 4-5 cords a year, and that is using it all season,  from Oct thru March and April.  Its very efficient and every room in the house is the same temperature.  I'll tell you and show you how I have it set up. Best investment ever!

As of January 2020, you will no longer be able to install ANY outdoor boiler, according to the EPA. The technology does not currently exist to meet the EPA 2020 standards for wood burning. (It would appear that the EPA prefers that you burn oil from terrorist-sponsoring countries!)
