Hi All. User name RamboSmurf AKA Dave M., Live in Ulster Park for entire life. Retired NYSDOCS Sergeant and Police Firearms/Chemical Agents Instructor.....Short guy with guns, hence the RamboSmurf from co-workers.
Avid Bass fisherman for 40Yrs, hunter on occasions. Years ago I used to Striper fish in Creek only and would rather go bass fishing instead. 3 yrs ago I started the striper thing on the river. Doing so-so, have caught average of 5-6 per year, biggest about 30lbs. Catch and release.
Wasn't all that much fun fishing out of a bass boat for them. Changed gears and own a 1997 Monark Pro 1700 now.
Good luck to all this year and any info I can give, I will and appreciate the same......bait casting for bass to bait runners and waiting.
I hate EELS

Here is the best type of eel . . . one in the claws of a bald eagle . . the eagle snatched it out of the river right near my boat where I cut its head off (makes it asier and less messy to remove frome the hook) Eagles have to eat too you know.
Welcome aboard! Good luck out there!

Hello everyone.  Sorry for the slow introduction (I have been stalking the forum for several months).  My name is Alex K.  I live in Brooklyn, but have a place on my family's farm in Stanfordville in Dutchess County.  I'm 35 yrs old and just welcomed my first child, a boy, into the world on July 1st.  Spent most of my life fly fishing and upland shooting, but have recently gotten into bowhunting.  Dinsdale recommended that I join the forum.  I would like to get the property under QDM and would appreciate any direction, advice, help, etc.  Thanks.

Haven't yet, but it's on the top of the list.  My father gave me my lifetime license when I turned 10 or 11... cannot remember exactly now, but it has paid for itself many times over.  Heck of a deal but still is not inexpensive.

Hi, my name is Rich, I'm 34 yrs old from Saugerties NY. I'm addicted to bowhunting and also enjoy hunting ducks and turkeys when I can and fishing for trout. I've seen this site before and it seems like a great site with a bunch of knowledgeable members. Hoping to learn a lot and contribute what I can. Thanks!
