Great dogs everyone!

Minnie is my first hunting dog (actually my son's). I trained her for both upland and waterfowl. She's retrieved geese, ducks and pheasants this year. Now that deer season is over, we'll be heading to some of my mountain spots looking for grouse. Never tried her with rabbits, but might give it a shot this year if I can find a spot to hunt.

What a thrill to hunt with a dog.

Each year, I am giving up more deer hunting to waterfowl and upland hunt with Minnie.

Goose-  Im with you. I found myself wanting to hunt birds/small game more and more.  Watching dogs work in the field is amazing.

Great looking pup GC. I hunted opening day of rifle and that's it. The rest of the time , I spent with my pup. I trained her for this so only seems fair to let her hunt. The joy they get out of it is crazy. As far as rabbits, I hunted mine last year and she did great. I just sent her in the  brush and told her to fetch it up. Before long, she was pushing bunnies.
