NYC Reservoirs
« on: May 12, 2025, 09:11:55 PM »
Anyone have any luck fishing the reservoir system yet.
Seems when it just starts warming up, the rain and north winds chill the water right back down.
Just cant catch a break this spring.

Weather has been either flooding rains or wind, I haven't had any luck yet trolling - some action on live bait

Gonna give it another try friday morning, been bouncing between 4 different reservoirs and have yet to mark any bait schooled up .
Somethings gotta give soon. It's been 2 to 6 colors with no consistency .Spoons or plugs makes no difference. Yesterday morning I trolled through marks all morning and couldn't buy a hit.

Trolled up a 4 lb brown yesterday morning and one this morning , different lakes same results. Both at 3 colors. Hardly any marks and no schooled bait, surface temps 58 degrees. Need warm weather

Rough spring for me, but I did manage one epic day, and a couple OK days, mixed in with the countless skunks. The epic day was a 7 fish morning, of which 4 were big fish, 29", 2@28", a 27", and 3 in the 25" range. The 29" and the two 28" were all over 10lbs. The last couple weeks have been brutal, probably 8 skunks in a row. Can't seem to post pics.
