A msg from me.

It’s with mixed emotions that I have to write this message to let you know I’m stepping down as the owner and administrator of this forum after 14 wonderful years. This local community membership has been such a significant part of my life, and I’m truly grateful for the countless friendships I’ve made and more important the friendships made between members here that would have never happen if it weren't for HVS.
Running this forum has been a labor of love—tons and tons of work, yes, but worth every second. Together, we’ve built something special over the years a place for sportsmen and women to come together, share knowledge, and create lasting friendships and memories. Unfortunately, with the rise of large social media platforms like Facebook, it’s become harder for me to keep things thriving the way they used to be.
While it’s time for me to move on, I want to assure you I’ll still be around to help out as needed and cheer this community on. I’m also thrilled to announce that our new owner/admin NYS MEMBER (Grazen) will be taking the reins with fresh eyes, new ideas, and a passion for continuing the legacy we’ve all built together. I’m confident he will do a fantastic job steering this forum into its next chapter.
Thank you all for the support, camaraderie, and memories over the years. This forum has been a huge part of my life, and it wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of you. Ron
Ps: If there are any good experiences, friendships or memories members have had here over the years I would love to hear about them. Ron

Ron, your labor of love has always shown through on this site. The dedication you’ve proven is the reason the site has lasted to this day. You are correct in stating a lot of new friendships have been generated through here. This includes me. I would have not been able to meet so many other great sportsman and woman if it wasn’t for you and your site. I know some of the old timers will agree with this and are grateful for all the experiences generated between us all. Who can forget the softball game we had in 2 feet of snow or all the knowledge passed along over the years. Yes times change, people come and go but these memories shall last forever!!
Grazen I wish you the best of luck moving forward keeping newyorksportsman out in front. Taking the load off of Ron’s hands will give him more time to mount a few dozen more deer and bear heads. lol

Wow Ron. sad to see you go, but grateful for all the time you did spend here making this such a wonderful experience for all the members. Look forward to still seeing you on the site and wish you the best of luck in future endeavors, especially if that just means extra time in the field and on the water doing what you love!

Hope all is well and the change is a positive move forward on all accounts.
Found this site a few years ago and although it's generally addressing an area somewhat south of where I'm at, I like the general mindset that members here share.
Good luck Grazen, and thanks for your work getting us to here now Ron.

Geez Ron, I just wanna say thanks! I appreciate all the work you did here, I know how time consuming and costly it is to do this, I used to run a similar site on a smaller scale. Thanks for letting me help over the years, this site has been a regular part of my routine every morning for a long time. I truly love all the stuff you post, your taxidermy, turkey calls ( I still have mine ), arrow head display, the cool stuff you find with your metal detector. Thanks for introducing this old dog to float fishing with the pin, I enjoyed our trip to the Delaware.
Good luck with your future adventures!
Larry

Perhaps we can go foraging for morels together this Spring also now that you may have

Ron,
Thank you for your foresight, devotion and dedication in establishing and running such a great forum so that many sportsmen and women could share their stories, advice and knowledge.
We were all very fortunate to enjoy this platform for many years.
I know that Grazen will do a great job in the continued future of this forum.
I am fortunate to call you a friend.
