Around 4:30 PM today I was at Herzog's in Kingston. The parking lot lights came on and I could smell the smoke... While driving home I noticed many drivers had their headlights on. I don't ever recall this happening before.

I think they should ban forest fires never mind Gas stoves.

I went out and picked up an air purifier for the kids room (got a 3 and 1 year old) and now I got it in my home office while they are at daycare.  I am going to skip my bike ride this afternoon too.  Does not seem like we should really be breathing that smoke in for extended periods of time. Can't be good

I talked to my Quebec outfitter friend yesterday , and its very bad ...
He currently has over 90 wildfires in his region now..
They have had no rain since early spring and non in the forecast..
The government has a mandatory evacuation in place for all outfitters in his area .
The local small towns have been evacuated as well .
All bush and penetration roads have been closed ..
He has flown his float plane away from the area , for safe keeping..
The fire has jumped the white goose river and is now only 1 mile from his lodge ..

Most areas that I have fished and moose hunted are now all gone and burned to the dirt ..
This could end up very bad for him ..
