I made a mistake of waiting to get my Harriman boat permit. They stopped selling last Friday and are closed to at least may 7.

Karl Brabenek,  Republican state assemblyman has a Facebook online petition here
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=451917090581&story_fbid=10163392700075582

I don’t have a Facebook account, and I don’t know if you have to live in his district to sign it. He is trying to get the golf course / boat launch restrictions lifted.

Just thought I would pass it on.

Glasco and Malden are open. Just signs to boaters saying all occupants should be from same household.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Department of Environmental Protection said Friday, April 17, that it has delayed the start of its recreational boating season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The season, which was scheduled to begin May 1, is to be postponed until Memorial Day weekend, on Saturday, May 23. The city agency, following guidance from health experts and government leaders, could postpone the opening even longer.

The recreational boating season allows for canoes and kayaks to be used in four of the New York City reservoirs in the Catskills: Neversink, Cannonsville, Pepacton and Schoharie.

Wonder if all people on the subway are from the same house hold or everyone driving around with passengers in there cars are from the same house hold. They have no right to enforce this bulloooo. Not only are states going to be broke from the corona virus but there will be thousands of law suits from small business owners.

I was told by the dutchess county leaders that the marinas are closed because they do not want to have to respond to an emergency on the river. So I guess they will not be checking boats for drunk boaters or enforcing any of the rules on the river. What a bunch of BS. ::)
