Wow guys awesome fish. Made my first trips to Rondout and Ashokan this weekend. Friday night we went at 8:00 til 11:30 ran out of bait. 2 dozen bellies. Finally hooked and landed a Brown out a reservoir. Total we caught 4 browns and 1 rainbow. White Perch were real active also no comment on those. Rondout last night 4 Lakers and 1 brown. Sad to say my son broke off a huge brown just under the boat. He was upset to say the least. He made a nice hook set and caught it good he tried to muscle it in. I don't think I should have had the drag set as tight as it was. A good note my daughter caught her first Laker. So it was a good day. Pic is Ashokan

The big one always gets away lol. Nice fish. Seems as though the reservoirs are fishing good this year.

Ron between the new house and the Rona this was the first time fishing. Felt great to be out on the water. Good thing is Garrett wants to go again. If things work out Ashokan Friday night with him. Hopefully they are biting again.

Took my daughter out this morning for trout on Ashokan but we didn't get any. Missed one that was it. On our way in my daughter caught this smallmouth. She was so happy plus I love watching her catch fish, just hopes the next one is a trout. She has already lost a few. Hopefully soon!!!

What’s your set up as far as hook sinker leader maybe a small adjustment will help keep them on lots of knowledge here

Been doing night fishing last couple of trips. We hung lanterns over the side of the boat. While searching for more of a waterproof light I found these lights. Obviously ordered them to try out. 4-$15 supposedly good down to 2,100' dunno how true. Battery life is up to 72 hours and lights are LED. Garrett caught his first reservoir Brown 17.5" Friday night. Hopefully the weather is good again. Friday and we get to test the lights.
