The jaw bone above is 3 1/2 years old.

I've been talking to Ron about doing a couple of deer aging classes this spring if there's enough interest. I can handle up to 16 participants per class.

The second picture shows the clearer wear pattern; this deer was 4 1/2 years old.   Congratulations !

This jaw is 3 1/2 years old. There's a little abnormal wear on the first molar, but not enough to kick it up to the next age class.
