Makes me almost regret having bought one that complied with those dimensional regulations now. 
But I'll hunt with it this fall anyway.   ;D

well its just in time for me .... having neck/shoulder problems ... they want to take my neck bones out and put them back in like the bionic man (dating myself with that reference) .... so in the meantime cant draw the bow back .... just spent the last 2 weeks getting the form finished to use a crossbow instead and the law passed b4 i got the form back to turn in .... looks like a crossbow only season for me this year .....

Starting it off the end of September in Maryland chasing Sitka ......

Read on another forum, that if you haven't taken bow course. You will need to to hunt with cross bow as it now consider a bow and all inclusive during bow season. Not sure how true it is. But for guys just starting out ,something to look in too.

Yes you will need to have your bow hunter certification to hunt with the x bow

Didn't you already need the bow certification to hunt those last two weeks with your crossbow?
I know it was considered a muzzleloader, but since you could use it those last two weeks of bow season, you already had to have the bow license for that......right?
It will make all the new crossbow guys that never hunted bow season have to go and take the archery class now though.

If you didn’t have your bow cert  you could buy a muzzle tag and sign and carry the last page of the syllabus stating you read it
