I've been out a few times during muzzleloader and haven't seen anything but spikes.  Also changed the chips on the trail cameras I have, and nothing but those same spikes there either. 
I know the deer that were there a month or so back, and haven't heard about them being taken, so they must all be hunkered down in some deep dark swampy island or something.

the few mature ones ive seen on camera were at night and while muzzleloader hunting after 4pm ...... back to their old safe ways
