Had an incredible night wednesday! Our friend and charter captain Mike had a good feeling with the new moon, and the cleaning up of the water from the tropical storm, that the bite was going to be good, and he was right! Started the night throwing plastics on some reefs and landed a few slot fish to 34". As the night went on we switched to eels and it was game on! Landed over 40 stripers total with the majority of the fish between 36" - 44" and 25-35lbs. Then as I missed a hit on the eel, I started reeling in to check my bait and this striper hit like a freight train!! Went 50-1/2" and 50lbs, my PB and a fish I might never beat again. Safely released to fight again! What a trip!!
