Metal Detecting
« on: June 19, 2020, 10:11:06 PM »
Hi, I recently bought a new metal detector and was looking for some areas to go in Ulster county. I know its a long shot as there is many other detectorists, but I am just looking for any old areas such as  (Yards / Woods / Fields) to find coins or any relics . Everything I found so far is modern. PM me if you have a area in mind or want to take a newbe like me.

Thank You

Watch out you will get the detecting bug :D I like to just walk in the woods detect along old stone walls and concentrate along openings.. Any place along the hudson in the woods or sandy areas during low tide can be good also. I seem to always find some new places when walking in the woods , look for depressions in the ground or high spots along creeks and streams that might have been a good place for people to camp for the night. Although people have been detecting Lundys for years i always seem to find something interesting there when i go. Good luck and show us what u find.
