Lake Oniad
« on: April 28, 2020, 09:32:17 PM »
Our best day at Oniad so far this year. My daughter out fished her brother.
I asked him to hold her fish, he was so mad he tried to cover up her face.

30-40  years ago that lake was one of best bass fishing lakes in area and then dried out. Looks like  it hopefully  has made a comeback...

I've talked to some of the people that live on the lake.  They treat the lake each year to keep the weeds down and it leads
to a big fish kill.
If it wasn't for the treatments, I think it would be an awesome bass lake.

Yup as soon as they started trying to clean that lake up it was all down hill........  I lived   down the street and the president of assoc who hated anybody using that lake other than for swimming ( residents only) drained that lake on purpose several summers to keep people from fishing and one year drained the whole thing....  Friggin shame......
