Stocking?

Any one know if the trout stocking has been cancelled this year due to the nonsense going on? Haven’t seen any stocking trucks yet this year in dutchess county and everyone I’ve talked to says the same. Figured I would try here see what y’all know or have heard ?

I received this email yesterday from the DEC. Looks like everything is still a go. Website showed mostly April and May stocking dates listed for Ulster County. Didn’t see any stocking dates listed for March. Maybe someone else on here can shed some better light? I’m definitely going to be out on the streams next week with my son.

It was actually on the radio today all stocking will be done from bridges only because it’s usually volunteers and they cannot help now

I talked to Region 3 DEC fisheries dept last week an they stated they would be stocking in Ulster County starting the 1st week of April. Didn’t ask about any other areas.

They are stocking. I know of 3 bridges they dumped fish off already here in ulster county..

They were stocking creek by hopewell rec almost 2 weeks ago so I am sure this part of dutchess county was stocked already..........

I saw them stocking the Shawngunk kill two days ago from the bridge. Bunch of pellet heads swimming around looking tasty!!

I have seen quite a few people fishing off the bridge at the moose club in hyde park the last few days.Tried calling the dec officers but no luck.
