striper fishing the hudson river shore

 not looking to go to anyones spot,i just retired and want to try striper fishing. i live just off salt point turnpike,near innis ave. looking for some nearby area to try.either side of the river. i have been fishing the rondout res. from my boat and want to try some different fishing.

I found a lot of good spots on the Hudson just from looking on google maps. Alot of open areas with parking and public parks

        there is a creek that spills into the Hudson directly across from shadows marina on the west side of the river . . . I would try there at outgoing tide . . . Someone caught a 44 pounder there a couple of years ago! . . . Good Luck!!

 . . . . .you might want to check the spelling of the title of this thread . . . . .I haven't seen many folks "stripper" fishing in the Hudson River in my years of fishing in the Hudson Valley (Though I'm sure there has been some!)

 yeah ,i did notice that and changed it in the post, but forgot it in the title and just changed it. besides i know where to find them on both sides of the river.

Good job Ziffy.
Always appreciate someone helping out a guy trying out a new kind of fishing.  Usual response to these asks is to put in your time, or some cryptic "you'll figure it out" comment.  Good to see something specific, and that will add some confidence for the original poster.
