First Harvest
« on: January 28, 2025, 09:25:12 AM »
I was going through some old pictures and found one from the late 1970's when my father took me hunting to some state land along the Taconic Parkway showing my very first hunting harvest a squirrel .... it may look tiny but that was a trophy to me and I used a 20 gauge bolt action shotgun ... that I just recently cleaned ..... purchased at Caldor's for 65$ I earned on a paper route .... I was still using the same orange hunting vest in the picture up until a few years ago .... you never know ... take a kid hunting and fishing .....

Those were the days! Great time to grow up in America!
Is that a Mossberg?

This is why photo PRINTS are so important - how many digital phone photos will we have 20 years from now?  None. and even if you do, the technology will have changed to the point you can't open them.  I love that service you hear about on the radio that converts your old photo prints to digital and stores them on a thumbdrive or the "Cloud" - 20 years from now you wouldn't be able to open or find them, whereas prints are always there and you can pass them around the kitchen table with others.  I want the opposite service, I want to submit all my digital photos and have them PRINTED.  I always go to CVS from time to time and print 100 photos off my phone and store them in an old fashion photo album, I'll have my pictures forever. I recommend anyone with a favorite fish or game photo to get it printed, maybe enlarged, so you have it in the future.
