I've only seen one... or more correctly part of one. There used to be a big hollow hemlock snag on the trail to my hunting stand. One afternoon when I was heading back into the woods I stopped and peaked into the hole in the side of the snag. I did so as there were what I believe were barred owl pellets on the ground around the snag. Anyhow, inside the tree I saw about half of a flying squirrel... It happens.  ;)

Had a family of them years back in my attic. Son kept saying he was hearing things so set mouse traps they kept getting tripped and no mice? Set a have a heart trap and over a weeks time caught 10 of them . All released safe in same location. No more since.
