The Schoharie Creek has them, and I've caught them from there. They seem to like smaller shiny, flashy things fished low in the water column, mostly near the bottom. At least that is when I'd hook them. A buddy that used to guide on the upper Delaware called them Rubber-Lipped Trout. Have caught them up to almost 18", and they fight pretty good. They look like a bit a small tarpon, shiny silvery scales and forked tail, but with that downturned mouth of a chub.
