Reminds me of an incident my friend PT and I experienced 55+ years ago. We were probably 11-12 years old and were splitting firewood at a farm. The firewood was for the wood fired kitchen stove the owner used to heat the house and cook. Anyhow, there was standing dry corn not far from the wood shed... We both had axes in our hands when a rooster pheasant came out of the corn and walked right up to us aggressively. PT kicked some gravel at it and it started chasing us! We ran around the farm house and it was on our heals the whole time! On the second loop we split up with a plan. Whoever the bird chased was to continue around the house and run into the pantry... the other would run to the outside pantry door and open and close it as needed. I was the door guy... PT was the target. The damned pheasant chased him right into the pantry! We closed the doors on both sides! Later we used a blanket to capture it and put it in the dog kennel. The Kingston Daily Freeman sent a photographer over and the story ended up on the front page. Ever since I've classified pheasants as dangerous game... and have been on high alert when hunting them.

Haha, that's a great story. I've had some angry grouse incidents in the past, but never one as angry as your pheasant.
