I received this from Jessica @ the D.E.C. regarding a public hearing on striped Bass regulations going forward. If you are concerned about our striped bass fishery in the Hudson River, please attend the meeting and let your voice be heard or send an e-mail/letter to Emilie Franke at efranke@asmfc.org
Good afternoon,
I wanted to let everyone know that there is a public hearing scheduled to gather public input on Draft Addendum II to Amendment 7 to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass. This Addendum will likely lead to regulation changes for striped bass in the Hudson River and we would like to seek input from all of you on this.
The hearing for the Hudson River (highlighted below) is at the New Paltz office Monday, December 18th from 6-8 pm. It will also be livestreamed if you want to tune in and can’t make it to the physical meeting.
I will try to send out a reminder as it gets closer. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Additionally—if you haven’t already, please return your logbooks or fishing data from this past year.
