I stopped at Cabellas yesterday on way back from Mohegan and grabbed a few pencil poppers and a 9" Spook. They didn't have much of a selection.... I'm going online to find more options and whopper ploppers.

I want to play around with some things early season and see if some tactics guys don't typically use here on the Hudson might work. Everything changes including my waistline! 😔

Bigger fish hit Spooks too, I caught a 30 pounder from the beach (Long Island) this past fall on a One Knocker Spook, 4 1/2". It was glass calm, first light. I don't know about when they are in the river though, I never fished there.
