Good luck everybody!  Two kids are coming home for college, both to squeeze a little hunting time in up in the mountains.  I couldn't ask for a better opening day!

I always enjoy counting the shots by noon---never quite understood the ones that sound like they emptied then reloaded--most of my experience is one is all it takes.  Target and beyond guys--don't drag a deer if you are fat and out of shape, don't fall from elevated places, treat every gun as if it is loaded and the safety is off--that covers about 95% of safety. After all, it's the hunt not the kill.

I should say that I count the deer shot at- 1-2 is a dead deer,  3-4 is questionable, 5 and more is a broke shooter and a deer that probably is much smarter.
