I could've caught 100 porgies (found a huge school of them) but I'd rather catch Black Seabass, Fluke and have fun with schoolie stripers . . . .
. . . . the slip manager at the marina asked me to get them some Saturday so I obliged . . . . .

Fresh New England Fluuuukke chowder with greens from the garden

Hey Ziff that looks amazing! I heard your mailman really enjoys tasty dishes like that. 😁
-
Deliver ALL of it on time & I’ll think about it. . . . even on your days off!!! 😉 🤩😄
To give you an examle of how much I believe in Berkley Gulp Saltwater Swimming Mullets for striped bass, black seabass, bluefish, Fluuuukkke, porgies, sea robins, dogfish, blowfish, triggerfish . . . . this is my go-to box. . . . the rest is on the boat!!
-
Sounds like fun Ziff !

Looks like you've been doing good, moved over to Pine Island Marina this year, the only place that had an opening. Having a hard time finding fluke. how deep have you been fishing? High-low rig?
-
Wish i were the guy who invented them hes got to be one rich dude..

This also drove by whilst I was fishing. . . a nuclear sub came out of the Thames River and headed toward the Atlantic. . . ya never know what you’ll see out on the water!
-
omg thats crazy thats something ive never seen.
-
Wow. That is something….
-
That is awesome to see.. I was stationed there and always wondered what that must have been like to witness from the fisherman side.

I thought the coast guard escorted subs out to sea??

I was always onboard not actually sure what was going on topside but I would guess an escort out of the river and then solo out til it is deep enough to dive. We navigated like any other boat in and out of a port

No escort Sunday . . . . . . .
-
I saw it go by Block Island going towards CT a month ago. Definitely a weird sight and damn they are huge!
-
Last Saturday. . . was blown off the water Sunday (small craft advisory)
Fluke season ends today! : (
-
I'm going to give Tog a try soon. The seabass has been phenomenal! Stripers also great but 95% too big to keep so I always try to have my customers fill up on seabass quick before we start looking for Stripers.
-
Nice pile of bass ziff. (beers)

No escort Sunday . . . . . . .
