Title: SCORPYD bad experience
Post by: grazan on April 27, 2021, 03:03:45 PM
hey just want to give u all a heads up if u go shopping for an expensive crossbow ... I've been using my cheap $350 PSE Fang for 5 years with the same string mind you .... had a brilliant idea to spend a lot of money and get a very expensive (expensive to me) Scorpyd xbow. .... when i got it the brand name lettering was peeling off the limbs and i would have to pay the shipping back to get it fixed .... i didnt use it for 2 months and shot it maybe 7 times last week .... the 8th time the main string broke ..... when i contacted the company they said my warranty is invalid since I took more than 30 days to register it ... bought it in January and registered it in April and it was my fault anyway since I partially dry fired it (only way that could happen they said)..... ive been shooting a cheap xbow for years with no problem on the same old string ....

just sharing ...

id look @ other brands if you are shopping around .....

I love the Killer Instinct xbows. For the price point you cant beat it.

I bought a ten point eclipse from Joe at northern dutchess archery , a few years ago .
It was expensive, but worth the money .. it was a package deal for around $1000.00
Extremely accurate...it will put venison in you freezer ...:-)

That sucks. But at least you weren't hurt.

Hey grazan, sorry to hear you had that experience. I have had a Scorpyd for 3 seasons now. Last year the string started showing some wear. The guy I spoke with was very curt, but said to send it in. I sent it in and they replaced the main string it at no charge. >shrug<

Glad you were not hurt!

I bought my 10 point from Joe also. No regrets, I really like it.

There is a lot of competition in the market, not sure how long Scorpyd can stay in business with such poor customer service.
