So where is a good place to ice fish Walleyes east of the Hudson? I have a friend that never caught one and wants to so bad. Open to West of the Hudson also. We hit Sacandaga Lake this past weekend and did pretty good with Pike. Biggest being 31". Any help guys and target depth to look for. Thanks

I never could catch an eye in sacandaga and don’t think anything east of Hudson has them except for white pond I have caught them in locksheldrake Whitney point is a good spot for them good numbers and a few keepers mixed in

What about sturgeon pond in rifton?

Some of the east of hudsonNYC reservoirs have good walleye fishing. Think the ones who really catch them fish at night. Held an absolute monster caught by a guy icefishing next to me. Sad to see this eggladen 13+ monster was killed. Do some googling

Sturgeon pool does have them as well as the river above the dam I have caught them in the pool just below the old mill foundation

You probably could get them below the power plant in rifton they should be moving up there to spawn also the area just below it is awesome for spring bullhead

Swinging Bridge use to be the place, but haven't fished there in a while.

I worked for NYCDEP for over 30 years. East Branch Reservoir (Sodom) has Walleyes.

We hit Titicus Sunday. Alot of flags but few caught. Had one strip off a serious amount of line off a tip up but got the minnow. Did get a few huge perch 11" to 12⅜". Tha is for the heads up on East Branch.
