Looks good.  Brian told me about it a week or two ago.  I hope it broadens the user base, but now I'm going to need a new decal for my truck, lol.

Its not official yet waiting for some upgrades to my server before we officially change our domain name.. ill be sending out a email to members letting everyone know about the change. Our HVS domain will still link to the new domain witch will be www. newyorksportsmen.com. Its something ive been thinking about for a few years and figured its time to try something new.

I kinda liked the old name and format too - just sayin - more local for local information and maybe if you're selling something or such...

There will still be a big local following,  as with everything we need to grow or wither away and die..... I am one of the originals probably signed up within the first few days it launched. Unfortunately alot of the originals have moved on and we need some fresh blood and actively participating members. For those that are part of the browse only type of members throw up  some comments and new topics every so often and see if we can boost up the site and have renewed energy and enthusiasm!

I see where Jay is coming from with the idea of keeping it local. My suggestion  would be have 2 sections, such as one for Hudson Valley & Catskills fishing and one for the rest of NY State. That would make it easier to see local reports while still giving others  the opportunity to post about the rest of the state. Just my opinion.
