Same at my place in West Shokan.  All the ones I've transplanted over the years are pretty much fully up.  My big collecting spot is in the mountains. a little higher in elevation and typically a little colder tends to lag behind.  Going up to collect in a few days to a week.  Smoked venison ham potato ramp soup is in my future.

My son Jigged three herring in the Esopus yesterday. His friend caught this 18" on chunk today in Saugerties.

my mother in law feeds them grape tomatoes and 1 year I noticed strange plants growing where they hang out and do their business .... I then realized the ducks pooped tomatoe seeds and grew plants ... the plants were taller then me and produced a ton of tomatoes through October ...... true ORGANIC gardening

All amphibians migrate to spring seasonal pools in the woods or ponds to breed drive any back road at night in the spring during the rains roads are covered in them
