Over the years I have had a few deep cycle batteries for trolling motors the longest one held up was 5 years sears diehard back when gander opened in Kingston I bought aan optima 1100 amp 900 CCA battery for 230 a painful price back then I have always charged them on 2 amp as soon as I get home that battery is now 19 years old I decided yesterday to get a new one but have read they are now made in Mexico and don't last and are 400 after some research decided on a banshee 1000 amp 800cca for 200 shipped hopefully I get a few years out of it but definitely don't expect 19
