Beautiful Buck Lou!   We have the potential in the state, we need antler restrictions, one buck per Hunter per season, and we could all have sick hunting and have a chance to Kill deer  just like that On much more regular basis and more hunters would be able to enjoy big bucks

Thanks guys!

Nice deer I would not drag any deer two miles quarters!! Pack it out that way lot Easier !!

100% agree! On my 4th year hunting so don't have all the confidence yet at field quartering but I have been paying attention to how they do it out west.  Next year for sure.

That's a beautiful buck , if your going to mount it , ide protect that cape from the drag out ..
Those deer carts or sleds work well also for getting your deer out ..or like others have said - cape it and quarter it and pack it out ...

Anyway you do it , that's a trophy buck .. congratulations..
you cook good rabbit pilgrim

I don't get up at 4 AM to play catch and release .

Great buck Louie !!! Get a sled for getting him out, makes the drag easy and saves the cape from getting drug bald.

Thanks guys! We have learned our lesson on dragging and use a jetsled. Which we know from my brother's bear last month that 325lbs is too much for it but that's another story. The spot i shot this buck we found 3 years ago and have only been back a few times due to distance. The sign in this area was hot so we knew we were in it from the time we got there. We were 'still hunting' and my wife spotted him at 8:30a at about 125yds. Watched him for at least 5 minutes waiting for a shot. Could not believe a buck of this caliber was on his feet at that time on this date. Hit him and he ran toward us presenting another shot at about 75yds and I hit him again and he went straight down. We put a lot of miles on this year and man did it pay off.
My wife is a saint letting me enjoy my time in the woods while taking care of our son. This morning we had a baby sitter and it was so awesome she was able to be there. She was also with me for my first bow buck Nov '19

Congratulations on a spectacular buck. Good you used a sled. A 2 mile drag will for sure pull hair.

I have already offered my congratulations but I will again. That is a phenomenal buck and I am very happy for you!
There are a number of members here who have shot some jaw dropping bucks this year. Congratulations to all of them and to all of you who hunt ethically and who hunt hard.

Buck of a lifetime louie,Congrats to you and your wife. Great story! FYI, I've been using the jet sled for years now and to make things a lot easier on your hands , purchase those exercise bands with the hand grips and tie the hand grips onto your pull rope. Makes a world of difference.
