Hopefully it will be just this year. But I'm ok with it I throw all my fish back except 2 one for me an the wife an one for my mother in law.

Either way I'm still happy to be out fishing an not mandated to stay home lol.

Interesting that circle hooks are not mandatory for 2020 but highly suggested. That ruling takes effect 2021.

I am leaving the area and definitely not coming back to fish for stripers but when i did I didn’t like circles for them lousy hook up ratio but i do use them for cats

Correct only 1 fish per legal angler 18”-28” per day. No trophy fish over 40” this year.

if you go to the dec website and look at the pdf file they posted the regs have not changed

DEC had and did have the right to change the regulations up to the day before the opening of the season. Which in turn they did. That regulations guide was posted / and or printed for the beginning of the year. Before regulations were finalized. Just contact DEC if you can and they will explain the new changes.
