Geezer:
How many rounds would you expect to fire in a year from this rifle?

Do you reload?

Gut shot:
I do reload.
It would be a hunting gun so not a ton of rounds but I do like to shoot.
My guess would be 40-60 rounds a year .

greensider:
I bought my wife a 6.5 for her own hunting rifle and was very impressed with what it did to the vitals of a deer she took with it the ammo we used is normal whitetail I used it 2 seasons ago in my 308 and again was very impressed with it so I ordered a bunch of boxes for all my hunting rifles straight from Norma had it sent to local shop

MUSKRAT:
Actually I prefer neither ..
I never understood all this hype about the creedmore cartridge and now this PRC round .
I have several rifles chambered in the old 6.5x55 Swedish mauser caliber ..
The 6.5x55 swede has been around since 1894 and became popular in the 1896 Swedish mauser .
I handload 120 grain accubonds around 2800 fps ..and its performance is outstanding , with components readily available..very little recoil or muzzle blast ..

Just my opinion,  but on the other hand , if it gives you a reason to buy a new gun , then by all means go for it ....:-)
