Several local bills have been introduced to the county legislature in response to the SCOTUS decision:
Clerk Item 151-22 – Requires NCPD to cross-check the names of individuals who are involuntarily transported to facilities for emergency psychiatric care against the pistol license registry.
Clerk Item 192-22 – Mandatory firearms storage.
Clerk Item 193-22 – Legal assistance for filing ERPO.
Clerk Item 194-22 – Requires gun dealers post signs warning of the dangers of firearms.
