Heading out in the am on the big water . Not expecting much but as it gets colder should get. Better. Best of luck to everyone heading out !

Slow opener. Not many woodies as last year opener. Manages to scratch out one drake mallard,2 drake woodies.
Saw maybe 50 woodies and 6 mallards and couple black ducks.
Anyone else see any decent numbers of birds ?

Not many birds but we were lucky enough to have them decoy . Shot 8 . Mallards teal and black ducks . And also managed to educate a few lol. Great morning with friends called it a day 9:30 am . Till tomorrow.

Birds are starting to leave the North Country we're seeing fewer numbers up here so they should start making their way down.

past Sunday saw fewer birds than opening day.. hunted a few miles south where numbers are usually greater the second week. Managed 2 woodies. Heard very few shots. Hoping the push comes soon!!

Hunted big water again this past Saturday and only seen a handful of birds . Gonna have to wait for frost . And now all this rain every swamp and puddle is full.

Anybody seeing good numbers of birds? I am coming back for Thanksgiving and am planning on hunting the river.

last week and week before seemed to be the peak in numbers where I am.. this past weekend they seemed to have moved out..
