Is anyone hunting?

I've been out twice .. busted by the same buck both times

so far three sits
i have seen, 3 coyotes, 3 does, a fawn, and a very very small 5 pointer.
I did scout out a few different areas and to my surprise finding buck sign and lots of deer sign, so they are not all dead.

Went out today o.m.g, bugs!!! Saw a small 6, 2 does and was snorted at in very thick cover and a :(little bear.

had a good day in the woods saw some deer this am but was way to dark to tell what they were, then had a lil 50lb or so bear try to climb the ladder sticks, sat till nine and decided i had to go check and or pull my only two cams in Ulster, due to needing them for some sign I have found. I went and pulled the cams and to my surprise no bucks, nor deer relay two weeks and 3 does, UGH, but i had two decent bear come thru by the one of the cams, the last three nights, one i figured in the 150 range and the other over 300.
so i came home mowed lawn and hem and hawed as to weather i should go back out. But after speaking with a few buddies and my father i decided they were right i had after noon free, so i should go and headed out. I got to tree about 3:15, saw a small deer around 4 no clue what it was, then at 5:30 had a lil button buck come barreling down off the ledges, and about a min latter down thru the same shoot came this guy. I was able to get a good shot at 42 yards, I figure between 140-150 no scale

Oct 29th not one pic of a deer on here..Maybe ill start hunting this week so we can get a picture on here..lol

It’s kinda weird not seeing pics of deer by now lol…..after this week we should start to see some rut activity and bucks hanging.

It’s crazy how few roadkills are on the road..I’ve been holding out for a big buck, but think the rut has pulled him away from the area I’ve been hunting. Going to try a few other areas I think.- good luck to everyone getting out. - waiting for pics

Sorry I've been slacking this year guys 🤣.
I'm starting to see a few deer finally, have 5 does around 2 spikes, a 5 and a 1.5 year old 8 point
Hoping something worthwhile shooting comes in as does start getting ready.
I guess I'll get my license tomorrow now that I know there's at least a few deer still alive. No does will be shot by me this year.

Well looks like it's time to get serious... went out yesterday afternoon and saw a lone spike. I made a mock scrape with estrus and my Personal Buck rut urine 🤣and look what showed up last night... time to go to work!

Thanks Bleu, I am just thankful to be seeing a few deer alive, I'm right in heart of huge EHD impacted area. To finally have 9 different deer on camera is awesome, now it's less than half of what it was last season but gives me hope. I will not take a doe and will only take 1 buck as it's really all I need meat wise as I have leftover from last seasons 3 deer taken. To have a nice Mature stud around is a huge bonus. I just had a feeling something might show up either from seclusion or bucks traveling further from core area in search of does given such a reduced deer herd size.

I’m not far from you at all and yes I’m starting to see a few deer as well on the same page as you didn’t get any dmps this year and I will only take a 3+ ur old if I’m lucky enough to get an opportunity I’m seeing a few good 1 1/2 and twos not any good ones yet both my areas got hit very hard with EHD best of luck

3j 11/12/21, 3:40pm Biggest buck in 36 years bow hunting, dressed close to 180lbs., I roughed scored him 128+/-, estimating 4 1/2 years old based on tooth wear.

now the scouting starts for next season, i know a few good guys that made it thru
