Getting ready to prepare herring for putting in a salt cure for pickling . . .

Ready for salt . . .

These herring fillets have been in a bed of salt for 15 days . . . so, it's now time for a 14-day bath in pickling brine!
The waiting is the hardest part!!!
Got pickled herring????
