Well done HWS! That must be a really rewarding feeling, making your bow, knapping your stone, everything involved  in the process. Then comes the  hunt aspect.....another challenge,  close quarters,  hitting your mark and so forth,  AWESOME!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks Pat for posting these pic’s for me. Wish I had better a one but it was getting dark fast and needed to get my gear out and find help to drag. I had two mature doe come in on this trail the night before but the buck chased them all out before I had a chance to see him. I thought it was the same deer but it was a doe and a button buck. I had to make a last minute turn around in the tree stand and shoot in a small window At 10 yds. So had no time to assess its size. But my dmp is filled. My friend recovered the flint point and it is as good as the day I made it. Re- hafting it for hopefully another harvest. So my N.Y. archery grand slam deer by bow would be over but I need to build a crossbow to complete the slam. Thanks all for the congrats.
