Title: Did you know
Post by: blklabsrule on March 04, 2021, 12:58:58 PM
Did you know it was illegal to sell duck mounts? I didn't until a friend of mine got busted selling one on craigslist. DEC answered the add, came to his house and wrote him a summons.

thats weird that it was the DEC thats all managed by the feds. you can't sell any mounts or parts of any migratory birds including crows.

Yes.
Though I didn't know about the crows. Which is odd since you do not need a federal migratory stamp or HIP number to hunt them..

I'm a transplant up here from NJ, and one of the things that they highlight in the Hunter Safety classes in NJ (and they have lots of them) is that you can not sell anything you harvest hunting or fishing in NJ.  Commercial fishing is different, and a different license, but for a regular sportsman, even a fish, deer, duck, squirrel, whatever mount is still verboten.
