Did you know it was illegal to sell duck mounts? I didn't until a friend of mine got busted selling one on craigslist. DEC answered the add, came to his house and wrote him a summons.
-
I did not know that ...I thought anything taxidermy was legal to sell ...
-
Didnt know that.
-
thats weird that it was the DEC thats all managed by the feds. you can't sell any mounts or parts of any migratory birds including crows.
-
Yes.
Though I didn't know about the crows. Which is odd since you do not need a federal migratory stamp or HIP number to hunt them..

I'm a transplant up here from NJ, and one of the things that they highlight in the Hunter Safety classes in NJ (and they have lots of them) is that you can not sell anything you harvest hunting or fishing in NJ. Commercial fishing is different, and a different license, but for a regular sportsman, even a fish, deer, duck, squirrel, whatever mount is still verboten.

never new that about jersey.
-
wow that's crazy, waiting to hear what the punishment is going to be.

I teach hunter-ed here in NY and I did not know that. About the mount selling that is.
