My farm opens for the 2020 apple u~pick season Saturday 9/12/20 from 9 to 4. I’m still wondering how we have a crop with the spring we had! Hope to see some of you folks and your families. Follow the signs to the end of Baker. We are on Facebook for directions. Wightman fruit farm. If not here, try to get to a local farm in your neck of the woods to make memories with your friends and family ~ it’s quality time well spent.

Im hoping to get up to your orchard soon..

Thanks to everyone who made it up to the farm or other farms in the area this year. Supporting local agriculture is not taken for granted by people farming. Thank you. We also want to thank neighbors who have taken time to help when jobs on the farm needed extra helping hands (DXT your the best man--thank you, the new trees are growing great thanks to your help!). We will have apples in the cooler till we are out. Thanks again (beers) Wighty

2021---- we are open with a very nice crop of fruit!

Going to try and make it up this weekend .Is your orchard dog freindly?
-
Unfortunately no, we can't control how other peoples dogs behave around strangers (kids who want to hug them...etc) or if they will lift a leg on low fruit etc... or how they will act with other peoples pets so other than registered service dogs we do not allow dogs. There are other PYO's that let dogs on the farms.

Are you solely a pick your own orchard or is it kinda like alot of places with other activities and stuff for kids to do? Website and hours?
We have a 2.5 year old foster child now and I've been thinking of doing an apple picking or something for fun.
-
I’ll never go to another orchard again, Appleman has the best apples in the Hudson Valley. I encourage you to pick a small bag elsewhere and then compare them to Appleman! I’m not kidding.
-
I’ve never been to his place but I know he’s been farming orchards for a very long time so I would trust his apples 🍎 for sure

Fall apples are ready and being harvested and quality is good. A great way to spend time with your family is to find a farm near where you live and pick some fresh fruit. i know first hand that the farmer with all the rain this year and challenges working outside that we've faced would love to see you stop in to say hello.

All the Fall late apples are top shelf and ready to go. Picking is good! Quality is excellent. Winesaps, Jonagold, Goldens, Goldrush, Russets, Idared, Fuji, Mutsu, Spys, Fortunes, Smoke House, 88's, Creston, Rome, Cameo, Red Delicious, Macoun, to name a few --lots on low limbs and sound like good weather for this Sunday.
