I heard today from a friend that one of her friends was just denied a full carry for the reason being they live in a low crime area.. WTF anyone ever hear such a thing here in ulster county.

A lot of people are being denied full carry, many get a restricted permits.
But I have never heard the excuse " because they live in a low crime area".... kinda sounds like a slip up excuse, like a whoops I wasn't supposed to say that.

sounds like a BS excuse to me. But I hear you all are waiting 6-8 weeks for amendments in Ulster. I would worry more about just getting the permit first then wait the year to ask for full carry. Ron did they put personal defense on their application? When I was going through the process I was told to leave that off as to why I wanted a CCP. something about that phrase they don't like.

i've heard that before too but not sure how true it is.  I wrote that on my application in Sullivan and got approved.
